Procedures Business Rules
General
- The required fields are Description, Procedure Type, and Skill.

If you select the Data Reading check box, you must enter a Data Label.

Materials can only be assigned to procedures if they are entered into the Materials module.

A procedure cannot be deleted.
Sub Procedures

Sub procedures must be of one of three types: Yes/No Reading, Data Reading, or Notes/Comments.

If a sub procedure is of the Data Reading type, a Data Reading label is also required.

When added to a procedure, a sub procedure can be associated with user data according to the sub procedure type: either a Yes or No for Yes/No Readings, or unlimited text for Data Readings and Notes/Comments.

Once a reading has been entered against a sub procedure, the sub procedure’s type cannot be changed.

MedTester procedures (Checklist procedures) cannot be associated with sub procedures; all other procedures can be associated with unlimited sub procedures.

Procedures can be duplicated; optionally associated procedure materials and sub procedures can be duplicated with the procedure.

Sub procedures cannot be deleted if they are in use by any procedures.

Sub procedures cannot be removed from procedures if readings have been taken for the sub procedure on that procedure.
Procedure Groups

When a procedure group is added to a work order, PM template, or other procedure group, the individual procedures themselves are added. The procedure group in no way becomes affiliated with the work order, PM template, or other procedure group.

A procedure can be added to an unlimited number of procedure groups.

A procedure can only be added once to a single procedure group.
- The procedure estimated time cannot be changed in procedure groups.
- The procedure group name is required and cannot be the same in different groups.
