Request Parts from PartsSource in Work Order Edit

Update Notice:

The content below has been updated to reflect functionality from the latest maintenance release. There may be differences in the functionality available to you, in the version of TMS you are using.

Using the Material Issues grid in Work Order Edit (Work Orders > Edit), you can issue materials and parts to a work order. You can also create a new PartsSource part request.

If you can't see the Materials tab, the grid might not be on the form you're using, or you might need to enable the Show Material Charges option (Setup > General > Options).

The buttons available to you in the Material Issues area of the Materials tab are based on whether your organization is using the PartsSource interface and/or the Purchasing module add-on. If the PartsSource interface isn't configured correctly, the buttons won't be shown.

To add a new parts request, use any of these three buttons:

Request Parts Allows you to order parts through PartsSource's ePartsFinder™ application (opens in a separate window).1

View Quotes

Allows you to view quotes on a part through PartsSource, via ePartsFinder™ (opens in a separate window), and place an order.
Import Manual Orders Allows you to add parts you manually purchased in the ePartsFinder™ application to your work order.

You must have a valid PartsSource login associated with your TMS user ID (Setup > Partners > PartsSource) to use this function.
