Use PartsSource in a Proxy Environment
In the event that the environment in which you are running the PartsSource interface requires proxy authentication, there is additional setup you need to perform.
The PartsSource interface needs to communicate with PartsSource, Inc.'s servers via an outbound TCP port, currently port 446. In order for this to work properly in a proxy authentication environment, an authentication exception must created for outbound TCP port.
If you are unsure how to do create an authentication exception, contact your organizations IT or IS contact, or other system administrator who configures your internal firewall.
Changes to the TCP Port Number or PartsSource URLs
As stated above, the PartsSource interface currently uses outbound TCP port 446 to communicate with PartsSource, Inc.'s servers. The port number and the URLs with which the PartsSource interface need to be configured in order for the interface to work properly are dictated by PartsSource, Inc. These are not set by TMS.
If you encounter issues with the PartsSource interface's connection with PartsSource, Inc., the outbound port number, or the URLs that the interface needs to use might have changed. We recommend that you contact PartsSource, Inc. , at www.partssource.com to confirm the required outbound port number and access URLs.
