Material Transfers Business Rules

The following business rules apply to Material Transfers:

• Transfers occur immediately when the record is saved.

• Material warehouses quantity on hand need to be updated with every transaction.
• On an update, only the difference between old and new quantities are applied to quantity on hand.

• Deleting a transfer causes a reverse entry into the warehouse quantity on hand.

• The record is saved to the material transfer table, transfer items are eliminated.
• There is no status associated with a transfer.

• You cannot transfer more than the amount available in a warehouse.

• Materials can only be transferred between warehouses in the same user segment or the shared segment.
