Set Up Report Codes
TMS comes with many default code choices for drop-down menus. For example, one Sub Category code is Material Charges. To define additional choices that appear in the drop-down menus, follow these steps.
- From the Setup menu, go to Reports > Codes.
- In the Segment list, select the segment.

In the Code List, select the code that you want to add a code to.

Click New.
- In the Codes pop-up window, type in your new code.
- Type in your Description of the new code.
- Check the Show in New/Edit or the Show in Query option if needed. These options allow you to have information in your TMS database that does not appear in the drop-down menu. To have a code appear in the drop-down menu, you must check one of the Show boxes.
- Click Save, or click Another to add an additional code.
Click the Print button to preview the list of codes in the Preview window.
Click the Edit button to open the Codes pop-up window.
Click the Delete button to remove a code from the list.
To find an existing code quickly, use the Search box. Select a code type from the Code List and then type a code, description, or part of either into the Search box at the top of the code grid. (Wildcard criteria is supported with an * before, after, or around the criteria.)
Once a code has been used in the application you cannot delete it. If you want to hide a code, then click the Edit button and clear the check box next to Show in New/Edit. This means that the code is still present in the TMS database, however, you cannot create new reports using this code.
