Connect a Designer Report Data Source to a Report Definition in TMS

Once you have created a data source in the TMS Report Designer, you can tie the data source to a report definition you create in the TMS application. Designer report definitions are created in TMS in much the same way that Standard and Template report definitions are created in TMS. Follow these steps..

1. In TMS, go to Reports > New.

2. In the Segment drop-down menu, select the segment in which this report definition should reside.

3. Enter a Name for the report definition.

4. Enter a Description for the report definition.

5. In the Type drop-down menu, select Designer.

6. In the File Path field that appears, type in the path to the data source file you created, or click the Lookup button next to the field and locate the data source file.

7. The Designer Prompt Module, Category, and Sub Category fields are optional and are designed to make searching for your report record later easier. If necessary, fill in one or more of these fields.

8. When you're finished filling in the required fields and any necessary optional information for the report record, click the Save button.
