About the Form Import and Form Export Wizards

TMS has included a series of standard forms for each module in the application. Additionally, TMS users with the appropriate application permissions can create custom forms. The Form Import wizard allows you to import forms from the Forms Library into the TMS database. You can also import forms created specifically for your organization, or those forms created in one TMS database and exported with the Form Export wizard for integration into another TMS database.

Things to Remember When Importing/Exporting Forms

Default Values

Forms being exported might contain default field values. These defaults will not be transferred from one database to another, however. All default values are stripped from exported forms.

Duplicate Forms

When a form is imported, a new form ID will be created in the TMS database. This allows you to import the same form multiple times. However, after a Form Name is entered on the Set Imported Form Details screen, the name is validated to ensure it is not a duplicate form name within the selected Module and Segment.
