Set Up TMS Control Panel Web Agent to Restart

This topic is targeted at system administrators, or users familiar with using the Windows Control Panel and Windows Administrative Tools.

You can set the TMS Control Panel Web Agent service to automatically restart if the service fails, rather than forcing you to manually restart the service. To set the TMS Control Panel Web Agent to automatically restart, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel.

  2. Click Administrative Tools.

  3. Double-click Services.

  4. Scroll down the list to find TMS OnSite Agent.

  5. Double-click TMS OnSite Agent.

    The web service's Properties window opens.

  6. Select the Recovery tab.

  7. From the First failure drop-down menu, select Restart the Service.

  8. Repeat step 6 for the Second failure and Subsequent failures drop-down menus.

  9. In the Reset fail count after field, specify a value, in days, for when the fail count should be reset.

    The default value is 0 days.

  10. In the Restart service after field, specify a time value, in minutes, for how long Windows should wait before restarting the service.

    The default value is 1 minute.

  11. For Windows 7 users, select the Enable actions for stops with errors, if you want to run a specific program when a stop occurs with errors involved and then enter the information about the program you want to run.

  12. Click Apply to apply the changes.

  13. Click OK to exit the Properties window.
