Mail Server Settings
Use the Mail Server Settings tab to enter email server information for sending emails to TMS users and administrators. These are global settings and are not database-specific.
Configure mail server settings
- On the TMS Control Panel, select the Mail Server Settings tab.
- In Mail Server Address, enter the address of the email server.
- To send email using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS), select the Use SSL/TLS check box.
- In SMTP Port, enter the value for the SMTP client. The default port is 25.
Note: Ensure SMTP Port 25 is not blocked by a firewall or antivirus software. SMTP Relay must be enabled on the mail server.
- If the email server requires authentication, select the This mail server requires authentication check box.
- Enter the User Name and Password.
- In From Email, enter a valid email address. This address appears in the "from" field for all outgoing TMS emails.
- In Admin Email address, enter the email address for the TMS administrator to receive error messages and alerts.
- In Maximum number of attempts, specify the number of times TMS Agent attempts to send emails, pages, or surveys (between 1 and 25).
