The Job Services Tab

The Job Services tab allows you to set up the TMS Job Manager which helps your system to run smoothly. The TMS Job Manager manages TMS job processes and queue requests. Functions that run through the TMS Job Manager include:

• Auto PM Generation

• Sidekick Push Notifications

• Manual PM Generation

• Report generation (including Excel reports)

• Work Order Mass Edit

• Code Find and Replace

• Vendor and Procedure Merge

• Asset and Form Import

• Purchase order generation

• Blanket order and Requisition generation

• Validation when moving segments.

You can find the TMS Job Manager by selecting Start > All Programs > Administrative Tools > Services. In the TMS Job Manager, you can select the Startup Type– Automatic (Delayed Start), Automatic, Manual, or Disabled.

The Job Services tab of the TMS Control Panel displays the current status of the control panel. You can click:

• Start – to start the Job Manager Service

• Stop – to stop the Job Manager Service

• Restart – to stop and start the Job Manager Service

You will need to stop the Job Manager Service from running when installing a patch for the application.
