Verify Vendor for Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Equipment
At this point, you need to verify that a vendor exists for the refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment you are checking for leaks. You can do this by a simple query in the Assets module. On the Main tab of the Asset Edit screen, the vendor will be visible in the Identity field group, in the Mfg. Code and Mfg. Namefields.
Notice that Mfg. Code is underlined. The Mfg. Code field label is a link. Click Mfg. Code to launch the Vendor Edit screen. In the screen shot above, if you would click Mfg. Code, then TMS would launch the vendor, GE MEDICAL SYSTEMS, in the Vendor Edit screen.
If a vendor does not exist, then you will have to create one. For detailed instructions on how to create a new vendor, see the Vendors topics on the User Guide.
- In TMS, click Help > TMS Help. TMS launches the User Guide in a new Internet Explorer window.
- In the table of contents, click Vendors > Vendor New.
To associate your vendor with an asset (you do need to associate your vendor with an asset), select the Manufacturer check box on the Main tab of the Vendor Create screen.
