Mobile Asset Tracking in TMS

This business solution uses the existing functionality within TMS and its add-on modules, and an ADT custom interface. The solution enables Central Supply Departments and Sterile Process Departments (SPD) to track the location and utilization of mobile medical assets. Mobile Asset Tracking is not a real-time RFID system that requires a whole house antenna or wireless Intranet system to track assets.

The process includes an asset request, location of the asset, asset utilization, asset location change, asset use discontinued, and the asset is prepared for next use. It's utilization consists of four parts:

  • Web Request - Asset user completes an electronic request form for a mobile medical asset from Central Supply/SPD.

  • TMS OnLine/OnSite and TMS Dashboard - Provides the location, utilization, & reporting features required.

  • TMS Anywhere Web SE - Physically survey mobile assets to confirm the current location and usage.

  • TMS Connect - Automatic location & usage data updates via the ADT custom interface.

Web Request, TMS Dashboard, and TMS Connect are add-on modules. Your organization needs to have already purchased these add-ons in order for you to utilize this business solution.
