Lost Keys
When a key is lost, it needs to be marked as such in TMS. You don't need to go into the asset record to do this, however. Since you also need to update the work order record to reflect that the key was lost by the requester, you can update both records at once, inside the work order, with the aid of the snap-in that was included with this solution. To do so, follow these steps.

Open the work order for the key that was lost.

Instead of changing the Status/Sub Status to Complete/Checked-In, change the work order to Complete/Lost.

Add any necessary time charges and notes to the Completion Comments field of the work order.

Then, save the record.

On the Main tab, click the Information button next to the Asset Number field.

In the Asset Edit child window that opens, notice that the key's Status now displays as LOST.
Keys that are in a status of LOST can still be seen in a list of active key records.
