Asset Duplicate Wizard

There might be times when you need to copy an asset.  For example, your hospital might have received 20 new IV Pumps at once.  Using the Asset Duplication feature in TMS, you can make a copy of one IV Pump without typing in the same information.

To duplicate an asset, follow these steps:

1. Use the Asset Query feature to retrieve the asset that you want to copy.
2. In the Asset Edit screen, click the various tabs and review the information associated with your asset.
3. Click Asset Duplicate.  The Asset Duplicate pop-up window opens.
4. In the Asset Number field, type a unique asset identification number.
5. Click Next.  The Specific Information screen opens.  By default, this information is the same as the information of the asset that you selected in Step 1.  You might need to change information in the Specific Information screen.
6. Click Next.

7. Under the PMs section, you can select four options:

   • Copy Active PM Schedules from Previous Asset
   • Copy Active and Unscheduled PMs Schedules from Previous Asset
   • Create new PM Schedules by Category
   • Do not create/copy PMs for this asset 
8. Click Duplicate to duplicate the asset, click Back to return to the Specific Information screen, or click Cancel to exit the wizard.
9. Click OK.  You have created a copy of your original asset and you are returned to the Asset Edit screen.

10. Click Save.
