Asset Group Query

The Asset Group Query screen is reached by going to Assets > Asset Groups > Queryor by clicking the Query button on the Asset Group New or Asset Group Edit screens. The screen consists of three fields: Group Name, Description, and Asset Number. All three fields allow the use of wildcard criteria. (See the Retrieving Information topic in the Understanding Queries chapter for more information on wildcard queries.)

Perform an Asset Group Query

1. On the Asset Group New screen (Assets > Asset Groups) or Asset Group Edit screen, click the Query button.
2. On the Asset Group Query screen, enter criteria in one or more fields. For example, to search for all asset groups with the word "fire" in the group's name, enter *fire* in the Group Name field.
3. Click the Run Query button.
4. If the search returned more than one result, the groups that match your criteria are displayed in a list on the Asset Group Query Results screen. Double-click the asset group you want to view.
