Asset Delete
The Asset Delete Wizard is found in Tools > Data Maintenance > Assets > Asset Delete. The Asset Delete Wizard gives our customers the ability to remove assets from the TMS database because they are duplicate or incorrect records. Typically, our customers would use this tool for these reasons:
-
Remove one or more assets entered by two employees
- Remove one or more assets entered during training or demonstration
- Remove one or more assets entered in the wrong segment
Asset Delete does allow you to remove assets that have a bill of materials, components, risks, contacts, and status change log entries. It also allows you to delete assets that belong to groups and contracts. Assets with PMs or inspections that meet those requirements can also be removed. This results in the removal of the PM or Inspection Schedule record and any exceptions, assignments, or Procedures. Assets with any history can't be deleted. This includes assets with work order history, time charges, material issues, or downtime.
