Schedule Copy Wizard

If you want to copy the PMs from one asset to another, you can use the Schedule Copy Wizard.  Launch the Schedule Copy Wizard by clicking the Asset PM Copy button  in the Asset Edit screen.  You can also find the Schedule Copy Wizard in the Tools menu by selecting Data Maintenance > Assets > Asset PM Copy.

To use the Schedule Copy Wizard, follow these steps:

1. From the Tools menu, select Data Maintenance > Assets > Asset PM Copy.  

   The Schedule Copy Wizard Welcome page opens.  The Welcome screen provides you with instructions on how to use the Wizard.

2. Click Next.  

   The Asset screen opens.

3. Enter the asset that is the source of the PMs being copied.

   If you know the asset number, enter it.  If you don't know the asset number, click the Lookup button to retrieve the desired asset.  If you clicked the Asset PM Copy button from the Asset Edit screen, then the Asset # field contains the number of the current asset.  The Asset # can be changed.

4. Click Next.

   The PMs screen opens where the PMs currently on the asset are listed.

5. Select at least one PM to copy by selecting the check box next to the PM Number.  

6. Click Next.

   The Next Due Date on each of the selected PMs remains the same on the copied PMs. The Asset Query screen opens in a window to allow you to query for assets to which the PMs will be copied.

7. Enter your search criteria and click Run Query.  The Asset Selection page opens.

8. Select at least one asset to copy the PMs to by selecting the check box next to the Asset Number.

9. Click Next.

   The Account Information screen opens,

10. Select how you would like the account number assigned to the new PM.

    If you select Use Accounts from Individual Assets, the Wizard will use the account from the individual assets.  If you select Use a Specific Account Number, enter the account number or select one from the drop-down menu.  

11. Click Next.

    The Asset PM Copy Confirmation displays a summary of the action you are about to take.

12. If you are satisfied with these actions, click Copy PMs.

    A message notifying you that the PMs have been successfully copied opens.

13. Click Close to close the wizard, click Start Again to copy another set of PMs, or click Close and See Results to close the wizard and populate the Asset Query Results screen with the assets the new PMs were copied to.
