Take and Upload a Picture to an Asset

With the upload feature in Sidekick, you can upload a photo to an asset record, either by taking a picture and uploading it, or by uploading an existing file from your iOS device. Below, we'll describe how to take a photo and then upload it.

In this topic, we assume you are already in Asset Edit.

To take a picture and upload it to an asset, follow these steps:

  1. Select Upload.

  2. Select From Camera.

  3. When the camera is launched, take the photo.

  4. After you take the picture, the camera interface closes, and the photo is shown in a preview screen.

  5. Confirm you want to attach the photo to the asset.

The photo is attached to the asset.

To attach the picture to the asset record as a Document Upload entry on the main TMS application, perform a sync between the device database and the main TMS database.

Note:

If you receive an error message that you are denied access while uploading a photo to an asset, on the device go to Settings > Privacy > Photos and turn on the permission for TMS Sidekick.
