Add or Remove a Part Of Association

In Asset Edit, you can associate the asset being edited as a part of another asset or piece of equipment. You can also remove a part of association.

Add the Asset as Part Of Another Asset/Equipment Record

To associate an asset or piece of equipment as a component of the asset being edited, follow these steps.

  1. Open an asset in Asset Edit.

  2. Expand the Contacts and Components tab (or other tab with the Part Of grid, if using a custom form).

  3. Select the Add button (+) next to the Part Of field.

  4. Enter the Asset Number of the asset or piece of equipment that this asset is a part of.

  5. Select OK to add the asset as the part of record.

  6. Select Save.

If you select the asset you added as the part of asset, you can open that asset in Edit mode as well.

Delete a Part Of Association

To delete a part of association from the asset record, follow these steps.

  1. Open an asset in Asset Edit.

  2. Expand the Contacts and Components tab (or other tab with the Part Of grid, if using a custom form).

  3. Swipe over the part of association you want to remove.

  4. Select the Delete button when it appears.

  5. Select Save to commit your change.
