Create a New Asset

To use the Create Asset screen to add a new asset to the database, follow these steps.

1. From the TMS Today screen, select Assets.

2. On the Assets screen, select Create Asset.

3. Fill in the required fields on the screen (denoted by an asterisk (*) next to the field label).

   • Asset Number

   • Asset Description

   • Category and Sub Category

   • Type

   • Account

   • Status

4. Fill in any of the non-required fields as necessary for this asset.

5. Select Save.

TMS Options Note

The following options are enforced (if enabled) on the Create Asset screen:

• Fill Description with Category/Sub Category Description

• Enable Manufacturer Validation
