Add or Update Manufacturer Information

Add a Manufacturer Record to the Asset

To add a manufacturer to an asset, follow these steps.

1. Open an asset in Asset Edit.

2. On the Main tab (or other tab with the Manufacturer Code field, if using a custom form), scroll down to the Manufacturer Code field.

3. Enter a valid code into the Manufacturer Code field, or select the Lookup button (...) and search for the manufacturer to add.

4. Select the Save button to commit your change.

Update the Manufacturer Currently Tied to the Asset

To update the manufacturer currently tied to the asset record, follow these steps.

1. Open an asset in Asset Edit.

2. On the Main tab (or other tab with the Manufacturer Code field, if using a custom form), scroll down to the Manufacturer Code field.

3. Select the Manufacturer Code field and then enter a new Manufacturer Code, or select the Lookup button (...) and search for the manufacturer to use instead of the current one tied to the asset.

4. Select the Save button to commit your change.
