Add or Remove an Asset Contact

In Asset Edit, you can associate a technician or other resource as a contact for an asset, or you can remove a technician/resource currently associated with the asset.

Add an Asset Contact

To associate a technician or other resource with the asset record, follow these steps.

  1. Open an asset in Asset Edit.

  2. Expand the Contacts and Components tab (or other tab with the Contacts grid, if using a custom form).

  3. Select the Add button (+) next to the Contacts field.

  4. Select the Resource field on the Contact screen.

  5. Select the technician or other resource to add as a contact for this asset from the list.

  6. Select Save.

  7. Select Save again to commit your change.

Delete an Asset Contact

To remove a technician or other resource associated with the asset record, follow these steps.

  1. Open an asset in Asset Edit.

  2. Expand the Contacts and Components tab (or other tab with the Contacts grid, if using a custom form).

  3. Swipe over the existing contact that you want to delete.

  4. Select the Delete button when it appears.

  5. Select Save to commit your change.
