Upload an Existing Photo to an Asset

With the upload feature in Sidekick, you can upload a photo to an asset record, either by taking a picture and uploading it, or by uploading an existing file from your iOS device. Below, we'll describe how to upload a photo that already exists on your device.

In this topic, we assume you are already in Asset Edit.

To upload an existing photo to an Asset, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Attached Documents tab.

  2. Select the From Camera Roll button.

  3. Photos that exist on-device are displayed from which you can select one or multiple photos.

  4. A check mark will appear when a photo has been selected.

  5. Once you have made your selection, select Done.

  6. The selected photos are placed in the Images Chosen section.

  7. Select Done to attach the photos to the work order.

To attach the picture to the asset record as a Document Upload entry on the main TMS application, perform a sync between the device database and the main TMS database.

If you receive an error message that you are denied access while uploading a photo to an asset, on the device go to Settings > Privacy > Photos and turn on the permission for TMS Sidekick
