Upload an Existing Photo to an Asset
With the upload feature in Sidekick, you can upload a photo to an asset record, either by taking a picture and uploading it, or by uploading an existing file from your iOS device. Below, we'll describe how to upload a photo that already exists on your device.
In this topic, we assume you are already in Asset Edit.
To upload an existing photo to an Asset, follow these steps:
-
Select the Attached Documents tab.
-
Select the From Camera Roll button.
-
Photos that exist on-device are displayed from which you can select one or multiple photos.
-
A check mark will appear when a photo has been selected.
-
Once you have made your selection, select Done.
-
The selected photos are placed in the Images Chosen section.
-
Select Done to attach the photos to the work order.
To attach the picture to the asset record as a Document Upload entry on the main TMS application, perform a sync between the device database and the main TMS database.
If you receive an error message that you are denied access while uploading a photo to an asset, on the device go to Settings > Privacy > Photos and turn on the permission for TMS Sidekick
