Create a New Asset

The New Asset screen allows you to add a new asset to the database. The My Work Orders pane is disabled in the New Asset screen.

The following options are enforced (if enabled) on the New Asset screen:

  • Fill Description with Category/Sub Category Description

  • Enable Manufacturer Validation

To create a new asset, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Menu icon to expand the menu pane.

  2. Under Assets, select New.

  3. Fill in the required fields on the screen (denoted by an asterisk (*) next to the field label).

    • Asset Number

    • Asset Description

    • Category and Sub Category

    • Type

    • Account

    • Status

  4. Fill in any of the non-required fields as necessary for this asset.

  5. Select Save.
