The Work Order and Asset Details Tabs

The Details tabs on the Work Order Settings and Asset Settings tabs are where you set the options for work orders and assets on Web Request page. Both tabs work in the same manner.

The Details tab consists of three areas: Labels, Reports, and Headers/Footers.

Labels

  1. In the Module Label field, type how you want the Work Order label to display on the page. For example, if you want to abbreviate the Work Order label as WO, enter WO into the field and WO will appear at the top of work order pages on the Web Request page.
  2. If you want the user to be able to create a new work order on the Web Request page, check the Allow New option.
  3. The Module New Label field is similar to the Module Label field in step 1. You can customize how you want the label to display by entering the label in the field here.
  4. In the Save Button Text field, type how you want the Save label to display. For example, many customers prefer the label to read Submit when it is displayed.
  5. Checking the Allow Query option will allow the user to perform a work order query on the Web Request page.
  6. In the Module Query Label field, you can customize how the label will display. For example, many customers prefer the label to read Search when it is displayed.
  7. In the Query Button Text field, type how you want the label to display. For example, many customers prefer the label to read Search when it is displayed.

Reports

  1. In the Query Results Data Source drop-down menu, you can select which report will display when the user runs a work order query. If no default report is selected, just a list of work order numbers and their descriptions will be returned when a query is run.
  2. In the Details Report drop-down menu, you can select which report to display when you click a work order number in the Work Order Query Results. If no report is selected, the Preview Report and Export to PDF buttons will be unavailable on the Details page.

Headers/Footers

  1. In the Header field, you can enter text that will display at the top of each work order page. This field can be used for links to helpful information, such as customized Help files you have created.
  2. In the Footer field, you can enter text that will display at the bottom of each work order page. This field can also be used for links.
  3. You can enter text to display at the top of the Work Order Details page in the Details Page Header field. This text only displays after the user has submitted a work order, as a confirmation page.
