Overview of the TMS Fluke Interface

Customers often use Fluke Biomedical’s medTester© and/or ANSUR software in their clinical operations for automated electrical safety tests, PM checklists, and defibrillator testing. The TMS Fluke Interface is an add-on module designed to electronically transfer data between Fluke Biomedical devices and the TMS application.

There are two parts to the interface: medTester functionality and Ansur functionality. Although there is some overlap in the interface's functionality between the parts, these parts are, for the most part, separate entities.

Your organization might be licensed for one set of functionality in the interface, but not the other, or you might be licensed for both.

Fluke Biomedical

The topics in this chapter pertain to the FRSoft-designed interface for Fluke Biomedical devices. They do not contain information on operating these devices. Refer to the device's own documentation for instructions on how to operate a device supplied by Fluke Biomedical.

The Device Versus FRSoft's Add-on Module

Throughout these topics, we will refer to both the Fluke Biomedical device and the add-on module that was designed to interface between the device and TMS. When we refer to the physical device, we will refer to it as the "Fluke Biomedical device" or "the device". When we refer to the add-on module, we will refer to it as "the TMS Fluke Interface", "the Fluke Interface", or just "the interface".
