ECRI Alerts Module Overview

With the ECRI Alerts module, not only will you be able to use the ECRI Institute Alerts to stay on top of medical device alerts, you will also be able to standardize your asset and vendor records in TMS with Sourcebase manufacturer codes and UMDNS device codes.

In the chapters that follow, we will first demonstrate how to set up the ECRI Alerts module and then how to retrieve new alerts and codes. Once we have completed those steps, we will move on to creating and editing standardized asset and vendor ecords, editing an alert, querying for ECRI Institute Alerts, and using the ECRI Alerts Tracker. Finally, we will cover create a work order out of an ECRI Institute Alert.

At the end of these sections, you will notice that there is a chapter on the ECRI Alerts module business rules. Consult this section for specific TMS business rules that apply to this module.
