Check for New Alerts

To begin tracking the work related to an ECRI alert in TMS, you will need to have created assets with UMDNS device codes as Category and Sub Category codes, and vendors with Sourcebase manufacturer codes as the Vendor ID. Once these steps are complete, you can retrieve new alerts and match them to applicable assets in your TMS database.

To check for new alerts, follow these steps:

1. Click Tools > Partners > ECRI > Check for New Alerts. 

2. This opens the Retrieving new ECRI Alerts wizard

3. Select the Segment in which the ECRI Alerts module was set up

4. Click Retrieve

5. If TMS retrieves new ECRI alerts, the wizard will tell you how many alerts were downloaded

6. Click Close

   The screen changes to the ECRI Alert Query Results screen.
