Sourcebase Manufacturers in the Vendors Module
Create a new vendor from Sourcebase manufacturer codes directly in the Vendor New screen. The process is similar to creating an ECRI Institute vendor in the Assets module.
Create an ECRI Institute vendor
- Go to Modules > Vendors > Vendor New.
- Next to Vendor ID, select ECRI. The ECRI Sourcebase Manufacturer Lookup screen appears.
- In Search by, select one of the following options to query for a manufacturer. For this topic, select Keyword(s).
- Keyword(s): Search the Sourcebase database by keyword. Use the Country and State fields to filter results.
- Manufacturer Code: Search by entering the specific manufacturer code.
- UMDNS Code: Search for manufacturers tied to a specific UMDNS device code.
- In Search, enter your criteria (for example, "microscope").
- Complete the Country and State fields to narrow your search results.
- Select Search. TMS lists manufacturers with their city, state, and country.
- Select Edit in a row to view detailed manufacturer information in a new window.
- Double-click a manufacturer in the list to add it as a vendor to the TMS database. The Vendor Create screen appears with default values.
