Create a Discussion

In the TMS OnLine/OnSite application, Discussion Setup screen is used to create and edit discussions, post to discussions, and set permissions.  When TMS OnLine/OnSite discussions are created, they are added to TMS Dashboard as an RSS feed. Discussions and posts on the Discussion Setup screen are organized in a tree format in the Discussions pane on the left. 

New Discussion

To create a new discussion, follow these steps:

1. In the TMS OnLine/OnSite application, go to Setup > Dashboard > Discussion Setup
2. Click New Discussion.  A new discussion with the name “New Discussion” will appear at the bottom of the tree
3. Click the New Discussion label in the tree.  Notice that the discussion loads in the Discussion pane on the right
4. Change the Name to something more appropriate for the new discussion

5. Type in a Description of the discussion

6. Click Save
