Add a Link

Bookmarks and links in Dashboard are shortcuts you can set up to commonly-used screens within TMS (bookmarks) or links to websites outside of TMS. The steps below will show you how to add a custom link to your dashboard. (See this topic for how-to information on adding a bookmark.)

To add a link, follow these steps:

1. Open your dashboard in the designer either by clicking the Edit button in Dashboard, next to the form drop-down menu (only available when you have Edit rights to the form), or by going to Setup > Dashboard > Edit and selecting the dashboard to edit.

2. Click one of the tabs that you previously created, or add a new tab.

3. In the list of available widgets, click the arrow next to Bookmarks. This will expand the list, and you will see Links and Bookmarks (Custom).

4. Click the arrow next to Links. A list of predefined links and the Custom Link option will appear.

5. Click Custom Link and drag it onto the tab to the desired location.

   Link widgets can be stacked, but they cannot be placed side-by-side in the same tab pane.

   The Widget Properties pane appears in the lower-right of the screen.

6. Change the Link Label and the Link URL.

7. Set the Display Mode. This is set to Text by default, meaning that the Link Label you entered above will be displayed. You can also select Image (displays just an image) or Image and Text (the link will display the image you choose, plus the Link Label you entered).

8. You also set these additional options:

   • Image Size: If you selected Image or Image and Text above, you can select Large, Medium, or Small.

   • Image: You can select from one of the images we've provided.

9. Click Save to save the new link to your dashboard.
