External Links
Administrators can create a set of links for each object within Siterra that open an external system with the Siterra object information, allowing your organization to manage Sites, Projects, Assets, and Leases across multiple systems.
Create and edit panels that hold links to external pages, fileshares, and for sending email. These link types are supported:

Click Admin > Applications > External Links to open the Link Designer.
Build Links

Click New Link.

Complete the following information:

Insert link name: Enter the name of the link as you want it to appear.

Type or paste URL and add attributes from below: Enter the URL for your link.
URLs must be "well-formed," that is, must be constructed with the http:// link type prefix.

Choose object type: Select the object type you want your link associated with (for example, Projects)

Choose attribute type: If you want to add any attributes to your link (see below), select the attribute type here. Attribute types are Core, Lookup, Number, and Text. You receive different options depending on which attribute type you choose.

Search for an Attribute: Enter search text here and find results on the next field, Add link attributes to URL by typing or drag and drop (see below).

Add link attributes to URL by typing or drag and drop: Drag any attributes you want included with your URL into the URL text box. They appear with formatting that renders them along with the URL, and that matches the object type (for example, if your object type is Projects and you select the attribute Status, it appears as
{prj.Status}
).

Click Save as New. At the Save Successful message, click Close. Your new link now shows in the Link Library.
To delete a link in the Link Library, click the X to the right of its name. You see a message confirming if you want to delete or cancel. Once a link is deleted, it cannot be reversed.
Assemble Links

Click Assemble Links.

Under Build Panel, choose a panel to edit. The screen refreshes.

Drag and drop links from the left hand side of the page into the panel. Use drag and drop to place the links in the order you want.
For a new section, drag and drop links into the blank section at the bottom labeled Insert Section Title. Click on Insert Section Title to update the section name.

To save, click Save Panel. To start over, click Clear Panel.
Manage Panels

Click the drop-down menu to choose a panel from your Panel Library.

Under Apply selected panel to objects, click the check box of the object(s) you want to apply your panel to.
Only one panel can be applied per object.

Click Publish Panel.

To view your external links, navigate to the appropriate module (for example, if you applied your panel to Projects, go to Projects), and click the External Links link to expand your panel.
