Components
Components are child assets of an asset. The Components section lists related child assets to help you understand asset relationships and access related records. Each component has an Asset home page. Select a component name to open its Asset home page.
Add a component
Add components in Classic Siterra

Navigate to an Asset home page.

Scroll to the Components section.

Select Add, then Next.

In Asset Data, select the Type.

Complete each section of the form that appears:

Type: Populates the Extended Attributes section depending on the EA component types your administrator has configured.

Latitude and Longitude: Enter in DMS format in the upper fields or enter latitude and longitude as a decimal in lower fields.

Manufacturer: Select Vendor or Other. Other is selected by default.

Responsible Group: Select to populate Responsible User with available users for that group.

Responsible User: Only lists users valid for the selected Responsible Group. This is cleared if you change the Responsible Group to one that the current user does not belong.

Extended Attributes: Displays fields according to EA component types your administrator has configured such as Lookup and Calculated. When you change Asset Type, this refreshes automatically depending on the configuration your administrator has chosen.

Select Finish.
Add components in New Siterra

In the record where you want to add a component, select + in the upper-right corner of the Components pane.

Complete each section of the Add Asset window:

The asset appears in the Components pane of the Asset home page.
