Remove Inheritance and Copy Inherited Groups

If you want to remove future inheritance but keep the current state of inheritance for an object, you can remove inheritance and copy inherited groups. When you do this, the system copies any previously inherited object and assigns the group directly to the object.

Remove inheritance and copy inherited groups:

  1. Navigate to the Access Rights page.

  2. Conduct a search to return a list of objects, and select the check box next to Include child objects in search.

  3. Select the check box next to the desired Unit, Search Ring, Site, or Hub (for portfolios with Small Cell functionality enabled).

  4. Click Remove Inheritance and Copy Inherited Groups.

    A prompt appears.

  5. Click OK to proceed with the action, or click Cancel to return to the Access Rights page.
