Add a Template Dependency

Create a task dependency on a Schedule Template:

1. Navigate to Admin > Schedule Templates.

2. Navigate to the desired template.

3. Under the Project tab of the Schedule pane, click Add Task.

   The pane expands to display a form.

4. Complete the form. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).

5. In the Predecessor pane, select a template from the Project Template drop-down menu.

6. Click Define.

   A new window appears.

7. Select the desired predecessor task and click OK.

8. To make the predecessor task optional, select the Is Optional check box .

   An optional template dependency is not automatically instantiated. Instead, it remains pending until an administrator manually enables it in the Global Dependency Manager.

9. Click Submit.
