Accruent RedEye 23.21.0 Release Notes
We're delivering this automatic upgrade on February 25, 2026.
Document artefact type support - Template Allocator V2
DEV-26397
Create document-type master templates directly in the Master Template page and allocate them using Template Allocator V2 (TA2).
You can also configure prefixes (numbering conventions ) for both documents and shared templates, adding new value to the Template Allocator process and improving usability for site coordinators, project managers, and system administrators.
These enhancements improve the overall user experience, simplify master template management, and add required validation. They also allow you to manage document number reservations in the same way as drawings, and apply a single numbering convention across both drawings and documents for consistent numbering.
We’re activating the Template Allocator for Documents enhancements for all buckets with TA2 enabled.
This release doesn’t include the ability to edit an existing prefix to change the artefact type it applies to. If you want to update a prefix type to All, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Preserve original filetypes
DEV-26213
When the system convert a file during processes such as markup submission or bulk approval, it now preserves the values in the original_filetype and filename columns in the database instead of overwriting them. This fix ensures that the system displays file formats correctly after conversion, maintains CAD tool compatibility, and provides reliable search behavior. This update also fixes the following errors:
-
In the bulk review and approval process, artefacts are incorrectly converted from CAD to PDF. (DEV-18102)
-
Added markups disappears when you refresh the preview. (DEV-27266)
-
When you print a supersede artefact with a markup Drawing Type, the system downloads the wrong revision. (DEV-27467)
-
The Refresh DWG Layout and Refresh Components CAD options remain disabled when you submit a redpen without markup or cancel the workflow. (DEV-27471, DEV-27473)
-
The Edit in Microsoft 365 option doesn't show the latest version for a superseded parent artefact when the child artefact has a markup. (DEV-27474)
-
When you create a child artefact from a superseded artefact, the markup doesn't appear on the newly created child artefact. (DEV-27823)
Improvements and issues fixed
| Component | Summary | Reference # |
|---|---|---|
|
Deep links |
Fixed an issue where deep links with a bucket bucket_id don’t switch users to the targeted bucket. |
DEV-24581 |
|
Metadata |
Fixed an issue where metadata fields with a CAD tag mapped to extract values into metadata automatically overwrite existing values during workflow actions when the Unique setting is off. The system now behaves as expected. If the extracted tag value differs from the existing value, it adds the new value and creates a metadata pill on the artefact page instead of overwriting the original. |
DEV-26515 |
| Authentication and permissions |
Fixed an issue that affects users who log in with RedEye’s multi-factor authentication, instead of single sign-on (SSO). The system previously failed to send requests to the dms-gateway API, which prevented these users from completing certain actions in RedEye. The fix ensures that requests succeed and users can complete their actions as expected. |
