Bucket/Group Administration - Intervene to Update a Workflow
Roles Required:
-
Bucket Administrator
-
Group Administrator
From time to time, you may need to intervene in workflows for your Artefacts. This is simple to do and you can easily cancel and switch between workflows, or undo previous workflow steps.
First, open the Artefact Page, and then select Workflow.
The options here will change depending on the current status of the workflow.
Options include:
-
View Workflow: View a flowchart of the workflow to see the different steps and actions.
-
Cancel Workflow: Cancels the current workflow, and returns it to a state where a new workflow can be set.
-
Set Workflow: Apply a new workflow to the Artefact.
If a workflow is currently active, you will need to Cancel the active workflow first.
-
Undo Workflow Step: Undo the last step that was completed in the current workflow.
Changing the workflow of an artefact will make the current version of the artefact the starting point for the new workflow. Sometimes this is desirable, but if you are changing workflows to correct an error you can use the re-arrange feature to get the version first, then change the workflow. This will give the cleanest account of events in version history.
