Optimize PowerWeb Performance
When you generate reports with over 10,000 documents, Meridian PowerWeb might slow down and become unavailable for all users, requiring a server restart. To maintain PowerWeb performance and prevent outages, you can create the ReportDocumentsLimit registry key on servers hosting Meridian and PowerWeb applications managed by Microsoft IIS. The registry key sets the maximum number of documents in a report.
-
Open the Windows Registry Editor.
-
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cyco\AutoManager Meridian\CurrentVersion\WebLink.
-
Create a DWORD (32-bit) registry key named ReportDocumentsLimit.
-
Double-click the ReportDocumentsLimit registry key.
The dialog opens.
-
In the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialog that opens, under Base, select Decimal.
-
In Value data, enter the maximum number of documents allowed in a report.
We recommend entering 10000 if the report template contains fewer than 100 properties. For templates with more properties, test lower limits to find the optimal value.
-
Restart the Meridian server.
