Create an Impersonation Account for Vault Access

In some situations, a tool that uses the Meridian .NET API must impersonate a user. To enable this, set a Security Manager Account. When the tool runs under this account, it can impersonate other users without requiring credentials.

1. Open Registry Editor on the Meridian application server.

2. Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cyco\AutoManager Meridian\CurrentVersion\OML registry key.

3. On the Edit menu > New, select Key.

4. Rename the key to AMSecurityManagerAccount.

5. Select the AMSecurityManagerAccount key and double-click Default.

6. In the Edit String dialog > Value data, enter the account name (for example, BCBackDoor).

   The account name should not include the domain name.

7. Click OK.
