Style Editor
A Style Editor tool is available to assist in defining conditional formatting in a report. This Style Editor is available from multiple places in Maintenance Connection, and you can use it to apply conditional formatting styles for Explorer Preferences, such as Work Order, Assets, and Parts, and alert styles. The Style Editor tool provides options to set text style, background colors, and borders.
Each time the tool is accessed, you must define all desired style settings. Previously defined styles are not saved in the tool; they must be specified from scratch each time. Default values for font-family, font-size, color, and text alignment are applied each time the tool is accessed. As such, it is important that these four settings are always defined to your liking to ensure that the tool defaults are not unintentionally applied.
Keep in mind the following important information about the Style Editor:
-
Not all styles shown are supported in all browsers.
For example, many browsers do not support the Box Shadow settings.
-
The following defaults are applied if not otherwise modified:
-
font family: Arial
-
font size: 10 pt
-
font color: Black
-
alignment: Left
-
Once the Style Editor is closed and the defined style is applied in the Maintenance Connection field, you can overwrite the code as needed. If desired, an unintentional entry can be completely deleted.
-
To return to a Maintenance Connection default whenever a style has been defined, simply delete the code that is populated into the field.
