Share KPI

Organizations can share KPIs they've created that they believe would be beneficial to other organizations in the Maintenance Connection Community. The shared KPI are displayed in the Smart Share Application. Shared KPI are stripped of any organization-specific data.

If you have shared a KPI with the Maintenance Connection Community and no longer want to have it accessible, you can remove it from the Smart Share Community by using the Stop Share option.

Share a KPI with the Maintenance Connection Community:

  1. Click the Dashboard button in the toolbar.

    Currently defined KPIs display. KPIs that have not been shared have a Share link in the bottom-right corner of the KPI. Those that have been shared have a Stop Sharing link.

  2. Locate the KPI you want to share and click its Share link.

    The Smart Share window opens, prompting you to enter a description.

  3. Enter a description that would inform members of the MC Community as to the benefit/value of this KPI.

    You can also modify the company and author of the KPI.

  4. Click the Share KPI button.

    When Maintenance Connection is finished sharing the KPI, a confirmation message appears.

  5. Click the Close button.

    You are returned to the Dashboard. The Share link is replaced with a Stop Sharing link.

  6. See the KPI listed in the Smart Share Application:

    1. Select Tools > System > Smart Share Manager from the Main Menu.

    2. Select KPI from the Smart Share Modules filter on the left.

      The KPI displays with the description you have specified.

      The Smart Share Application also lets you install KPIs created by other organizations that would be useful to your organization. For more information about the Smart Share Application, refer to the User Guide.
