Work Order Rapid Entry
The work order Rapid Entry tool provides a quick mechanism to add a series of work orders. This tool is especially valuable for an administrator entering requests submitted via email, phone, or paper by users without access to Maintenance Connection. The work order Rapid Entry tool provides a one-screen entry mechanism that is custom designed for your organization to include the fields that are important when establishing a new work order.
On this single screen you can designate the asset requiring work, the reason/problem/procedure for the work, requester information, the individuals to be assigned, estimated hours, inventory items required, and additional work order details. You can even tailor the tool to allow you to close out the work order on the same page, supporting the entry of completed work orders.
The work order Rapid Entry tool preferences allow you to tailor the system to determine which fields should be displayed and whether or not default values should be defined. The tool can be customized by including or excluding the following fields:
-
Requester Information
-
Reason and Procedure fields
-
Problem, Failure, and Solution fields
-
Type and Priority fields
-
Organizational Attributes (Repair Center, Shop, Department, Supervisor, Customer)
-
Labor Hours (Actuals)
-
