Edit Service Requester Pages

The content and format of instructional text displayed to users in the Service Requester can be modified using the Edit buttons available from the Service Requester Configuration Main Menu tab.

In addition, the Help Text associated with each field on the Submit Service Request page can be tailored to your needs. You can even modify the instructions that are provided to users to select an Asset/Location on the Submit Service Request page.

ClosedCustomize the Content of a Page

  1. Click the Edit button to the right of the page you want to edit.

    The Text Editor opens, allowing you to modify the content and format of the text displayed. 

  2. Make your changes.

    You can use the available styling options to set font, styles, text color, and so on.

  3. Click Apply.

    The editing window closes and the text displays in a View Window where you can verify that you are satisfied with the text format and content.

  4. If you are not satisfied with the content, click the Edit button and continue editing.

  5. Click Close.

    The Service Requester Configuration tool appears.

ClosedAsset/Location Instructions

The option to edit the Asset/Location instructions allows you to determine whether the hyperlink that allows for direct entry of the Asset ID on the Submit Service Request page should be displayed.

If you no longer desire this option, remove the hyperlink in the Edit Asset/Location Instructions page. If the option is no longer displayed and you want to put it back onto the page, contact Maintenance Connection Support to obtain the correct syntax for the hyperlink.
