Preventive Maintenance

The Preventive Maintenance module stores records defining each preventive maintenance schedule planned for use in your organization. Each Preventive Maintenance record is a schedule for maintenance based on the passage of time, such as weekly, monthly, or usage, such as meter readings. Preventive Maintenance records also include the procedure that should be completed at the scheduled interval and the assets with which the schedule is associated. Multiple procedures can be defined at different intervals, allowing a single schedule to cover several procedures. For example, an asset may require monthly inspection, but have a special procedure that is required each quarter, such as a filter change.

Access the Preventive Maintenance module:

1. Choose between two options:

   • Click the Open button on the toolbar.

   • Click the Module menu button displayed in the List pane.

     The Module menu will display.

2. On the module menu, click Preventative Maintenance.

   • If you accessed the module menu from the Open option on the toolbar, the Preventative Maintenance List and the Preventative Mainteance Work Center page displays.

   • If you accessed the module menu from the Module Menu control, the Preventative Maintenance List displays, but the content of the Work Center will not change until you have selected a record.
