Assets in the Asset Map

View assets and their details in the Asset map. Use the Assets tab to filter, search, and sort assets. Select an asset on the map or from the side pane list to see its location and details.

Prerequisites

• You can access the Asset map once your system administrator configures the Esri integration and grants the necessary access rights.

• To view an asset on the map, the asset must include location information, such as latitude and longitude coordinates.

• The Asset map side panel lists only assets within the current map view. To view all assets, select the Include assets outside of view filter.

View asset details in the Asset map

1. In the Maintenance Connection toolbar, select Asset map.

2. Select an asset on the map or from the Assets list.

   The asset details display in the side pane.

3. Select one of the following tabs:

   • Details: View the asset photo, model, serial number, ID, last maintenance date, and installation date.

   • Work orders: View work orders associated with the asset.

   • Documents: View documents associated with the asset.

Create work orders for the asset from the Details tab

Start a work order from the Asset map. The system automatically links the work order to the selected asset.

1. Select an asset on the map or from the Assets list.

2. Select the Details tab.

3. Select Create new work order.

   The New work order page opens.

   After you create the work order, it automatically appears in the Asset > Work orders tab.

View unlinked assets in the Asset map

Find assets that have latitude and longitude coordinates but are not linked to the GIS feature in the Unlinked assets tab.

1. In the Maintenance Connection toolbar, select Asset map.

2. Select the Unlinked assets icon in the side pane.

   When you select an unlinked asset, you can link it to a GIS feature.

Filter the assets list

1. In the Assets tab, select the Filter icon.

2. In the filter pane, enter or select one or more filters.

3. Select Apply.

   The filter icon shows the number of applied filters.

To remove the applied filters, select Filter > Clear all, then select Apply.

Sort the assets list

Sort assets by Asset ID or Asset name in ascending or descending order.

1. In the Assets tab, select the sort icon.

2. Choose one of the following:

   • ID ascending

   • ID descending

   • Name ascending

   • Name descending

   The list updates to show your sorted assets.
