Delete Assets

When an asset is no longer used in your organization, you may want to remove it from the active Asset List. However, rather than permanently delete the asset, we recommend you move the asset to an inactive node of the tree. This ensures that asset history remains accessible. In most organizations, an Unused Items node is created at the bottom of the list for this purpose.

In some circumstances, you may wish to permanently delete an asset from the system. For example, you may want to do this if the asset was created in error, or there is not history maintained on the asset.

The process for deleting records is similar for all modules of Maintenance Connection. Deleting a record permanently removes the record from Maintenance Connection. You can also delete multiple records in a single step. Refer to Delete Records to learn how.
