Failures: Classifications

The Failures tab lists failures commonly associated with assets of this classification. When the Failure module lookup is used to select a failure for a work order, a control is available to limit the results to those failures specified for the classification associated with the work order. Listing a failure on this page ensures that it will be displayed if the user enables that option on the Failures module lookup.

Failures can be associated with classification records from the Classifications module (this page) or the Failures module.

The Failures List displays the Failure ID and Name, sorted by failure category (problem, reason, or solution). A selection box is provided to enable removal of a failure.

ClosedAdd a Failure

  1. Click Add.

    The Failure lookup opens.

  2. Locate and select the desired failure.

    The selected failure is added to the My Selection(s) area at the bottom of the lookup.

  3. Continue to select any additional failures desired.

  4. Click Apply.

    The Failure lookup closes, and the new failure records are added to the Failures List.

  5. Click Save.

     

ClosedRemove a Failure

  1. Click the check box to the left of the failure record you want to remove.

    A check mark appears, indicating the record has been selected.

  2. Continue to select any additional records you want to remove.

  3. Click Remove.

    The failure records are removed.

  4. Click Save.
