View or Print Barcodes
The Asset Detail and Part Detail pages allow you to view or print the barcode for the current record. The barcode icon is next to the ID for the record.
Clicking the barcode icon opens a window showing the barcode for the current record. The format of the barcode, such as Extended Code 39, EAN or UPCA, is based on the value defined in the available preference.
The Barcode can be printed using the Print button, if a label printer is available. Barcodes print in their native size, even if it does not display in its actual size in the application. A preference is available to scale the size.
Organizations that are configured to use QR Codes to initiate direct log in to the record in MC Express also see a QR Code icon adjacent to the Asset ID or the Part ID.
This feature is used by organizations that want to use an external scanning application to scan a QR Code, resulting in MC Express being opened in the device's default browser, first prompting for credentials and then navigating to the identified item. The QR Code icon, if displayed, can also be clicked to view or print the QR Code.
