Manage Transaction / Scenario Contacts - Portfolio Module

There are three ways to add contacts to a transaction or scenario:

  1. You can select from all members and contacts that are in the firm,

  2. You can select from members and contacts that have been added to a transaction or scenario previously, or

  3. You can add a contact that does not exist in your firm.

Contacts that are added using the third method are not added to the firm. They are only added for RE transactions and scenarios. This type of contact can also be added to Lucernex by a user with the proper permissions using the Manage RE Transaction Contacts tool.

ClosedAdd a Contact

To add a contact:

  1. Select the transaction or scenario you want to modify from the list at the top of the page.

  2. Scroll down to the Contacts table.

  3. Click Add RE Transaction / Scenario Contact below the Contacts table.

  4. Choose between three options:

    • Type a name into or select a person from the Company Contact field.

      This menu allows you to select from all members and contacts which have been added to the firm.

      To see the full list of people in the Company Contact field:

      1. Click Ellipses button A small gray button with an ellipses on it. to the right of the Company Contact field.

        A window opens with a table containing all members and contacts in the firm.

      2. Select the person you want to add.

        The window closes. The person is selected in the Company Contact field.

    • Type a name into or select a person from the RE Transaction Contact field.

      This menu allows you to select from a list of members and contacts that have previously been added to a RE transaction or scenario.

    • To add a new RE transaction contact:

      1. Click Ellipses button A small gray button with an ellipses on it. to the right of the RE Transaction Contact field.

      2. Click Add RE Transaction Contact.

        This appears near the bottom of the window.

      3. Complete the fields in the window that appears.

        This person will only be added as a contact for RE Transactions and scenarios. They will not be added as a Lucernex member.

      4. Click Add.

        The window closes. The person is selected in the RE Transaction Contact field.

  5. Click Add.

  6. Click Save Changes.

    This displays in the Actions menu on the right side of the page.

ClosedEdit a RE Transaction / Scenario Contact

To edit a contact:

  1. Select the transaction or scenario you want to modify from the list at the top of the page.

  2. Scroll down to the Contacts table.

  3. Find the contact you want to edit.

  4. Click Edit in the Actions column of the record.

  5. Make your changes.

  6. Click Update.

  7. Click Save Changes.

    This displays in the Actions menu on the right side of the page.

ClosedRemove a Contact

To remove a contact:

  1. Select the transaction or scenario you want to modify from the list at the top of the page.

  2. Scroll down to the Contacts table.

  3. Click Remove link next to the contact you want to remove.

    A dialog opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  4. Click Yes.

  5. Click Save Changes.

    This displays in the Actions menu on the right side of the page.
