Workflow Step Completion Notification Rules

This article describes how Lucernex handles email notifications sent when a workflow step has been completed.

If the notifyee on a workflow step is configured by job title or by member name, then:

  1. Only the member receives a notification

  2. If the user changes the notifyee on the workflow step while completing the step, email notifications are sent to the default member AND the newly selected member

Additionally, notification emails are sent if the step is completed after the step was repeated in the workflow. For example, if an Approval step is declined and sent back to a previous step in the workflow for revision, the completion email is sent when the Approval step is finally approved.
